Healthy, Wealthy and Warm Roadshow
One Medicare @ Rockingham House in Sheffield City GP Health Centre will be at the Healthy, Wealthy and Warm Roadshow in Firth Park on 24th February 2010 (two weeks on Wednesday).
Organised by HEAT Sheffield, the roadshow is for local communities, bringing together information and advice relating to personal well-being and affordable warmth.
Topics covered:
Keeping healthy
keeping active
keeping mobile
preventing health problems
stopping smoking
health check
cancer support
keeping warm
energy efficiency
paying for warmth
keeping safe
community safety
crime reduction
fire precaution
benefits and pension advice
One Medicare will be there with a team of nurses carrying out Health Checks. The health check aims to help you lower your risk of four common but often preventable diseases: heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease. It?s for adults who have not already been diagnosed with
any one of those four conditions.
At the check your risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and diabetes will be assessed, and you?ll be offered personalised advice and support to help you lower that risk.
So come on down to the roadshow on 25th February and talk about any problems that you may be worried about.
Sheffield City GP Health Centre is open 8:00am - 8:00pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Visit us at:
